Sai Paranjape is a well-known Bharatnatyam dancer and performer. Sai has had a keen interest in arts, music and dance since childhood. Sai earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in dance. She has performed all over India as well as internationally. She is a recipient of various state and national awards and honours. Sai has successfully conceptualized, choreographed and performed in several Bharatnatyam productions including “Mrudugandha”, “Samvaadi”, “Dasharoopa” and several others. Through Bharatnatyam performances she has even depicted social issues like the importance of water conservation. Sai got the opportunity to perform “Shivashakti” on the Raigad Fort in the presence of esteemed historian and writer Babasaheb Purandare. Through the dance/drama “Rishidarshan” of which Sai has completed over 35 shows, Sanskrit verses written by the ancient sages of India were depicted through the medium of Bharatnatyam. The music for this dance/drama has been produced by the “SaReGaMaPa” group and the audio CDs of the same are available in the market. Sai has worked with several renowned actors and celebrities including Umesh Kamat, Priya Bapat, Santosh Juvekar and several others in the show “Marathi Premi”. She has worked with reputed institutions such as the Lions Club and the Rotary Club. Sai has had the opportunity of participating in reputed dance festivals including the Shaniwar Wada Mahotsav, Rasik Mahotsav and the Poona Festival.
